• 2.5D Platformer made in Unreal Engine 5.4
• Solo project, made in just 2 weeks
• Modelled, animated, and implemented all the game assets myself using Blender, Photoshop, and free online textures
• Programmed 2.5 platformer gameplay using Unreal Blueprints, including a spline system for the player to follow, and a dynamic camera
• Inspired by Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie Series
"Windmill Climb" is a 2.5D Platformer level, made in just 2 weeks! I modelled everything seen in-game using both Unreal's built-in modelling tools and Blender. I also programmed the game myself, modelled, rigged, and animated the stand-in character, and custom-made a few of the textures used.
I only had 2 weeks! Originally, I wanted to do a whole island village leading up to the windmill, but I quickly scoped down to just the windmill. A circular building is a perfect fit for a 2.5D platformer, and takes advantage of the unique perspective to create interesting challenges you can't quite do in a regular platformer.

Here are some of the gameplay Blueprints I put together for this game! These two are specifically the camera which follows the player around the radius of the windmill, and the general player controller which follows a spline!

Very early gameplay concepts. I quickly cut down the scope, and only did the windmill.

Early ideas for how the gameplay might work. I decided to just go with basic 2.5 platforming to start, for scope.
